Today we are going to learn about REFRACTION
Refraction occurs when light changes direction passing from one subtance to another.
As you can see in this picture the light passes through the air and through the water and changes direction. The staw appears to bend. 
Why does this effect happen? Because the water and the air have different densities.

Now read the information about refraction in your book on page 72. 
You can also try to prove refraction at home doing the experiment above ↑ and placing a pencil in a glass of water to see how it bends.

Os animo a que en casa probéis a hacer el experimento que aparece en el vídeo sobre el cambio de dirección de las flechas y que introduzcáis una pajita o un lápiz en un vaso con agua para poder observar cómo se produce la refracción. Si alguno quiere comentar cómo ha salido su experimento puede ponerlo debajo en los comentarios.

Light travels in straight lines and very fast.

EX 5.

The sentence is false. The moon is not a natural light source. The moon reflects the sun´s light.

Today we are going to study the reflection of the light.

Reflection happens when light heats an object and bounces back.

• When light hits a smooth surface all the rays reflect in the same direction as we can see in this picture.
  
• When the light hits a rough surface all the rays reflect in different directions as we can see in this picture.
  

For example: 

The picture at the top shows a reflection on a smooth surface. 

The picture at the bottom shows a reflection on a rough surface and it is not very clear.

Watch the following video and read on page 72 ONLY the sections reflection, mirrors and lenses.

Today we are going to focus in the primary sector in Spain. Remember that primary sector includes:

In 1900 about 60% of the population worked in the primary sector but nowadays only the 5% of the population in Spain work in this sector.

Now read the section "The primary sector in Spain" on page 79 in your book.
