Today we are going to learn about REFRACTION
Refraction occurs when light changes direction passing from one subtance to another.
As you can see in this picture the light passes through the air and through the water and changes direction. The staw appears to bend.
Why does this effect happen? Because the water and the air have different densities.

You can also try to prove refraction at home doing the experiment above ↑ and placing a pencil in a glass of water to see how it bends.
Os animo a que en casa probéis a hacer el experimento que aparece en el vídeo sobre el cambio de dirección de las flechas y que introduzcáis una pajita o un lápiz en un vaso con agua para poder observar cómo se produce la refracción.
